To worry or not?

I know it has been a while since I have been on here, it sure has been a crazy month. So we celebrated both my birthday and our 2 year wedding anniversary on January 30th, yes that is exciting! what was not exciting was having our vehicle break down the day before and having to be towed back to our hotel but you know what, we did not freak out or get upset…we actually laughed about it because honestly what else can you do?…All’s well that ends well, our van was fixed in time for us to go enjoy a nice dinner out to celebrate. We thanked God for taking care of us.

So many times we tend to get upset, place blame and lose sight of both our accomplishments and each other during hard times, heck my first reaction was always to stress and worry about the littlest upset that came my way. I don’t know if it was the whole getting older part or finally realizing that worrying did not magically make a solution appear ( or maybe I’m just not a very good magician ) anyhow with that being said I am by no means perfect but I have gotten better about letting life stresses go and giving it to God. We go through the downs in life so we can pick ourselves back up, become stronger and hopefully become a source of light for the next person that stumbles in the quick sand.

We went through a down time last summer and instead of asking God why he is putting us through this, we asked him to guide us through the storm and thanked him for providing for us. You know what, we now have family members going through the same exact situation and we are able to relate, offer encouragement, and help them through it. God often puts us through these storms so we can help others through it. He has a plan for all of us and we just need to put our trust in him and try not to stress/worry about the challenges that we may face along the way.
